I have had some problems with my PC after an unfortunate power spike which seem to have affected my motherboard soon after my last message, I will opt for a fresh reinstall, and update after I restore my computer to order.
However I do often update my software and I have windows set for automatic updates, and bitdefender verifying my pc for old software versions, but hopefully the fresh restore might solve the issue, for now I guess I will have to put this issue to a hold closing this thread.
